Held.

A welcoming group sing-along for babies and the people who love them.

The early years can be beautiful, exhausting, funny, overwhelming and everything in between.

Held is a gentle music experience for babies, parents and the people who love them.

A chance to slow down, sing together and spend some time simply being with your baby.

You don't need to be a singer. You don't need to know the songs. And your baby certainly doesn't need to sit quietly through the whole thing.

Just come as you are.

The simple power of a lullaby

The songs we sing to the people we love have a way of staying with us.

A space for grown ups too.

Held isn't just for babies. It's for the people caring for them too.

You don't need a perfect singing voice.

Your baby already loves your voice — because it's yours.

Come as you are.

Come after a broken nights sleep.

Come if you're feeling social.

Come if you mostly want to sit quietly and listen.

There's room for all of it here.

What to expect.

Arrive

10.45am

Held begins with time to arrive and settle in. Get comfy in our beautiful studio. The space is designed to feel like your home away from home. There's tea and coffee and super comfy couches.

Sing-along

11am

There will be gentle singing and lullabies, all led by a professional singing teacher, with plenty of space for you and your baby to participate in whatever way feels right for you.

Stay

11.30am

There's no rush to leave once the singing is over. Feel free to stay and have a cuppa and a chat. There's nothing like having a group of people who get what this season of life is like.

Meet Kara

Held facilitator

Kara grew up being sung to sleep by her parents, and she knows firsthand how powerful those simple, imperfect songs can be. She believes every voice belongs, and that singing together isn’t about being good at singing — it’s about connection, comfort and being present with one another.
